18ct gold Longines minute-repeating hunter pocket watch in plain case, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds and gold spade hands, inscribed by the retailer Russells, Ltd, Liverpool, the frosted gilt fusee movement under couvette jewelled to the hammers, signed by the makers, repeating on two gongs operated by a slide in the band – 53 mm diameter.

Massive 18-carat polished gold “demi-bassine” case, gold dome inscribed with signature and characteristics. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals having an auxiliary seconds dial at the bottom. Gold pear hands. Splendid, carefully executed 17” gilt-brass movement, signed Longines, constructed at Locle by Ed. Jeanrichard au Locle. Straight-line lever escapement, bimetallic balance, Breguet overcoil. Adjustment of the speed by silent system of the strike. The strike by four hammers acting on four spring gongs is wound by a slide-piece on the middle. A similar watch is shown in “Grands artisans de la chronometrie”, by Chapuuis. With its case. 55mm.
