Instructions for Omega Quartz Chronograph Caliber 5200

The hour, minute, second and chronograph functions are powered by 4 motors using conventional quartz technology.

The crown has three positions:

Watch functions:

  1. Normal position, when worn: when pushed into the case, the crown guarantees the watch’s water resistance.

  2. Time zone setting: resetting the 30-minute totaliser.

  3. Time setting: pull the crown out to position 3. The seconds hand will stop. Turn the crown forwards or backwards. Synchronise the seconds by pushing the crown into position 1 to coincide with a given time signal; resetting the 1/10th of a second and 60-second totalisers.

Chronograph functions:

Allows the time to be read off to 1/10th of a second up to 30 minutes in the simple, addition or split modes (reading split times).

Simple timing function (crown in position 1):

  • Pusher A: Start – stop (read time)

  • Pusher B: Reset
