Seiko-Cal 400 “Weekdater”

Gentleman’s automatic wristwatch, circa 1963, the first Seiko wristwatch with day of the week and date, in a gilded three part case with snap-on back.

Ball-bearing mounted rotor with heavy metal ring winding in both directions via an excenter lever reversing system (at 9 o’clock). Plain glucydur balance wheel, self-compensating flat spring, Diashock-shock resistance, no manual winding (case with heavy wear, rotor scratch marks on movement plate).
