Vintage Patek Philippe Open Face Pocket Watch Ref. 738

A large stainless steel and 18k ping gold openface keyless lever watch, ref. 738. Three body circular case with snap on back and large circular 18k pink gold how, black lacquered dial with pink gold baton numerals, outer minutes track, pink gold dauphine hands subsdiary seconds, diameter 55 mm. The watch was manufactured in 1942 and sold on May 6th, 1943 to Eberhard Milan, Italy.

Nickel finished circular lever movement stamped twice with the Geneva scal, cotes de Geneve decoration, self-compensating Breguet overcoil hairspring, bimetallic cut compensation balance and swam neck micrometric regulator, cal . 17”, 18 jewels, diameter 38.25 mm, height 4,2 mm, 18000 vibrations.

The three last digits of the case number, 026, are engraved by hand on the inside of the 18k pink gold bezel. Circular stainless back stamped with Patek Philippe & Co Geneve Swiss, stainless steel marks and serial number 508026.
