The name "Zedon" is an anagram of "Donzé," reflecting its founder's legacy. The brand was first registered as a trademark in Switzerland in August 1943 under Donzé Frères & Cie. In 1964, the trademark expired but was later re-registered to Zédon Watch & Cie SARL, based in Geneva, with Albert Holzer as director.
